I believe that these flushes have helped to clear out any debris and/or old fluid that remained dormant within the Transmission for the duration that it has. Both times, the fluid has gone from going in with a translucent red color, to coming out a darker red. I have performed two transmission flushes with 1/2 gallon of tranny fluid thus far. Definitely due for a change, but not something that I believe would cause this issue to arise. Though my transmission fluid was a severe dark red color, there was no burnt smell or nauseating odor. P0760: Second Solenoid Valve Circuit - Open Or Short To Groundĭoing a quick Google Search with these codes as a reference source, I came across another users thread and used that Guide (cerato-2003-2008-spectra5-2004/72381-2006-spectra-p0750-p0765-p0755-p0760-2.html) in addition to his Youtube Video (watch?v=URUT3t8uUCw) as a reference to attempt to fix my Transmission - believing that this could have been the root cause of my issue. I stopped by my local AutoZone and they were able to snatch these error codes for me: Upon further inspection, I noticed that when I downshifted to gear 3, the gear was completely missing from my display (see the MmrsY_bzX74 video for an example) - it didn't show up on my HUD and as such lead me to the belief that my transmission was dead/dying. What's more, I noticed a distinct kick in the Transmission when shifting from any gear - Park to Reverse, Reverse to Drive or vice versa. Like it was stuck on a Higher gear and couldn't accelerate quickly/easily until over 40-50 MPH. Upon starting my car, I saw that my Check Engine light was illuminated and my car had lost it's 'get up and go' ability. I pulled in, put the car in park, killed the engine and then put $20 into the tank (about half-full). I was driving around town in my 2007 Kia Spectra and realized I needed some gas. Having been unable to determine the root cause of my transmission problem, I've decided to submit my own post to this helpful forum in hopes that someone has experienced what I am currently and that they might be able to help by sharing their bit of wisdom that'll save me and my poor Kia both time and money. I went through forum post after post trying to find any inkling as to why my transmission was displaying the symptoms it was. The safety recall is expected to begin during June 2011.Before resorting to this post, I spent many hours over the course of several weeks trying to diagnose my Kia's problems. This service will be performed free of charge. Dealers will replace the fuel tank straps and attaching hardware with new zinc coated parts. The fuel tank can fall from the vehicle and strike the ground which could cause a fuel leak. As a result of the corrosion, one or both straps may separate allowing the fuel tank to contact the ground and possibly disrupt the integrity of the tank. There is a possibility that corrosion of the fuel tank straps which hold the tank may occur as a result of prolonged exposure to road salt.
